A letter to the Democratic and Republican Parties
America’s Team is on the Field
America’s Team is 561 human beings representing the three Branches of Government (Congress 535 human beings; the President and Cabinet 17 human beings; and the Supreme Court 9 human beings).
America’s Team can unite us; America’s Team can divide us. America’s Team sets the tone and direction for ALL. America’s Team is on the field. What do Americans see? What does the world see?
Stop Your War TODAY
We all know how bad the war between Democrats and Republicans has become. Based on its current trajectory, it is going to get much worse. Both parties are fighting for partisan supremacy. Each of your parties have outward contempt for the other party.
Your war is weakening America. Your war is dividing America based on prejudicial lines/lies. Your war is dividing families. Your war is done with purpose, on purpose.
Americans are weary of your war. Stop this war TODAY, yes TODAY. We are ALL Americans. You need to fight for ALL Americans and not against each other. An attack by one party or member against another party or member is an attack against all Americans that support the attacked party or member. Political ideology is a civil and political right – protect these rights NOW!
Accept the Will of the People
There are 100 Senators, 435 Congressmen/women and a President and Vice-President that were chosen by We the People. It is not appropriate for ANY team member(s) to try to thwart the will of the people by attacking any other team member(s) or their parties. Once the elections are done and We the People have spoken/chosen, the people in the parties and the parties themselves need to accept those chosen and focus on the job of serving and protecting those they represent.
All human Beings on America’s Team Should Have a Voice
Each human being on America’s Team has a job to do. Each team member represents Americans that have unique problems – people in Peoria, Illinois have different needs and lives than people in New York City. For ALL Americans to be represented each team member must always be heard.
In January 2019 we saw the passing of the gavel from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party in the House. At that point a continuing Republican Congressman/woman, and the district they represent, went from having a voice to having no voice and a Democratic Congressman/woman, and the district they represent, went from having no voice to having a voice. This should never happen – all voices must always be heard for ALL Americans to be heard.
Create a joint Platform (plan) for America – What’s Important Now
Talk to each other! Jointly plan for America’s future. Identify short, medium and long-term goals for America. If you combine “Hope and Change” with “Make America Great” you get something like – “Make America better than it ever was with Liberty, Respect, Opportunity, Safety and Justice for ALL, forever”.
There must be commonality as to what’s important now for America! The key points and overall plans should be agreed. Jointly prepare a plan/platform for America – publish the joint plan/platform on each party’s website. Then each party can demonstrate ideology and approach in implementing plans in its own platform. (By the way, in preparing your party platforms be respectful of the other party – we are ALL good Americans that want what is best for America.)
When Enemies Become Allies – The Great American Evolution
The cacophony of braying donkeys and trumpeting elephants in Washington must be replaced with the harmony of America’s Team working together for ALL, forever.
Americans depend on each other. We the People depend on America’s Team to develop and execute a game plan to work together to represent ALL Americans and to protect the legacy we will pass down to our Posterity.
It’s time for the Great American Evolution. In this Evolution, America will plan its future. America’s Team will work together as a highly functioning team to make America better:
INTERDEPENDENCE will replace partisanship
OPTIMIZE will replace compromise
WORKING FOR will replace working against
HONOR and RESPECT will replace bullying and disrespect
OPPORTUNITY WILL ENABLE HOPE
Imagine the power of America’s Team working together to make America better than it ever was with Liberty, Respect, Opportunity, Safety and Justice for ALL, forever.
The Democrats and Republicans Need to Declare a Truce and Jointly Work for ALL Americans, Forever
I am requesting an immediate cease fire in your war and a meaningful treaty promising to work together for America’s Team for ALL, forever. What will one more day of battle achieve for America? Neither party can unite America – BOTH parties working together can and must!
Please end this destructive partisan war for the good of America and begin to work in harmony for ALL Americans, forever.
